Welcome to Wightplace...

We moved to this beautiful island in Dec 2020 and would love you to stay to explore & experience all its beauty too ❤

Just a 15 minute stroll to the cliff path with access to Sandown beach one way & Shanklin beach the other. Train station, Aldi, Morrisons and the bus service are also conveniently located within a 10 minute walk.

About the Annexe

The Space

The annexe has a kitchenette with breakfast bar which includes tea, coffee, sugar, milk, and washing up liquid provided (as a starter on arrival).

Cooking facilities include a toaster, kettle, microwave, two ring induction hob, pots, pans, crockery and utensils a mini fridge with ice box.

Lounge area:
2 seater sofa bed with bedding provided, flat screen tv, coffee tables, lamp and WiFi access throughout.

Bedroom:
Double bed, bedding and pillows, 2x bedside tables and lamps, dressing table & chair, club draylon chair, wardrobe with 2 drawers & hangers. Hairdryer and travel iron.

Ensuite Bathroom:
Toilet (starter of 1x toilet roll included), shower, sink, heated towel rail, 1 bath, and 1 hand towel per person provided.

Hallway leading to 2nd separate toilet and own rear access to shared garden.
Dartboard, games and books also included.

Guest Access

Own private entrance with drive or street parking.

					  Lovely place, very helpful host, excellent communication. 

The only downside was that there was a smell of damp when we arrived, as if the place had been redecorated... read more after a flood.  The decor was excellent,  and the surroundings were nice, but the smell did detract from that a bit.

The tiny shower cubicle provided entertainment for my girlfriend, laughing at my attempt to fit inside and shower comfortably - I am not a small guy.

Gail's guide for the short cut to the beach was really handy and very accurate.  If I had checked the tidal times, I would also have known when the beach was there!

Actually, one other issue was lack of access to a thermostat or ability to control the radiators.  My girlfriend is Mediterranean and very much felt the cold in the evenings.  

The drawbacks were minor,  the host and accommodation were very good.
